About the role

The Director of Progressive Education plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape at The School in Rose Valley. Reporting directly to the Head of School, this individual is responsible for implementing innovative teaching methods and fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with progressive educational philosophies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to enhance pedagogical practices and student engagement.
  • Oversee the integration of technology in the classroom to support learning objectives.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty members.
  • Evaluate and improve school policies to ensure they are aligned with progressive education principles.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in educational leadership or teaching.
  • Experience working in a progressive educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
