Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Product Marketing to lead go-to-market strategy for an emerging AI and application platform business. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be located in the eastern time zone.

About the role

This highly visible leadership role will shape market strategy, influence product direction, define positioning and packaging, and build scalable growth programs. The ideal candidate is a strong product marketing leader with technical depth, commercial judgment, and experience bringing emerging technologies to market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global product marketing strategy for an AI and application platform portfolio
  • Develop category positioning, messaging, and portfolio narrative for technical and executive audiences
  • Translate complex technologies into clear customer value for developers, engineering leaders, and enterprise decision-makers
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on roadmap priorities through market analysis, competitive insight, and customer feedback
  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies that drive adoption, pipeline growth, and expansion
  • Develop segmentation, ideal customer profiles, buyer journeys, pricing, and packaging strategies
  • Launch lighthouse customer and early-adopter programs to validate product-market fit and generate customer proof
  • Support integrated GTM execution across demand generation, field marketing, communications, partner marketing, and sales enablement
  • Create sales plays, enablement tools, and messaging that improve win rates and accelerate deals
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global product marketing team
  • Use AI and automation to improve insights, productivity, and execution speed
  • Present strategy, priorities, and performance clearly to executive stakeholders

Requirements

  • 15+ years of B2B product marketing, solutions marketing, or go-to-market experience
  • 7+ years leading global teams in a matrixed environment
  • Experience commercializing emerging technologies and building new categories
  • Background in one or more of the following: AI platforms, developer tools, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, application development, observability, software delivery, APIs, or enterprise technology
  • Proven ability to influence product strategy, pricing, packaging, and investment decisions
  • Strong track record in both customer expansion and new customer acquisition
  • Experience with customer validation, design-partner, or lighthouse programs
  • Strong executive communication, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Practical fluency with AI and automation in marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Pay

Salary is $180,000–$195,000 with a 20% bonus.
