Director of Product, Machine Learning & Decisioning Platforms

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Product, Machine Learning & Decisioning Platforms to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will shape the strategy for core decisioning and machine learning platforms that support critical financial operations. The role will partner closely with engineering and data science teams to strengthen platform capabilities, improve model deployment and monitoring, and drive better business outcomes. It will also lead and develop product managers across multiple teams while balancing near-term delivery with longer-term platform investment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$216,100 – $299,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach product managers to improve overall product management quality
• Define product strategy and roadmap for credit decisioning and ML platforms
• Collaborate with engineering and ML teams to optimize model deployment and monitoring
• Improve underwriting systems to connect customer data and business outcomes
• Identify and validate machine learning opportunities for scalable product development
• Develop processes for integrating data vendors and ML capabilities
• Balance immediate project needs with long-term platform investments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of product management experience, particularly with technical or platform products
• Experience managing and developing product managers across multiple teams
• Strong technical fluency with engineering and data science collaboration
• Demonstrated ability to strategize and deliver in fast-paced environments
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven capability to align product decisions with business outcomes, especially in financial services
