Director of Procurement
About the role
SPIROL is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to join our team in Danielson, CT. This role is 100% on-site. You will develop and execute a global procurement process that delivers world-class results, serving as the subject matter expert for metals and material management.
Coordinate with all SPIROL sites globally to identify and implement sourcing strategies focused on reducing total cost of ownership and mitigating supply chain risks. Lead category and commodity strategies, including spend analysis, benchmarking, and market analysis. Provide strategic and tactical direction for metal and metal surface treatments across SPIROL. Proactively monitor and report on factors impacting supply—such as legislative, environmental, political, geographic, or supplier issues—and communicate effectively with the global team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or Logistics
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical materials management
- 8+ years of experience with global procurement and global sourcing strategies
- Experience and working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, with demonstrated expertise in ISO9001, IATF16949, and AS9100
- Expert analytical skills
