About the role
The Director of Practice Management is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational and financial performance of professional practice groups within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of practice management strategies to improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and administrative staff to align practice goals with organizational priorities and patient care standards.
- Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of assets and cost control.
- Implement performance measurement systems and analyze key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies across all practice operations.
- Drive initiatives to enhance patient experience, staff engagement, and overall practice culture.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to support practice needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to practice management teams.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 4 years of progressive experience in healthcare practice management or administration. Proven track record of managing multi-site healthcare practices or departments. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and reimbursement methodologies. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare IT integration.
- Certification in Practice Management (e.g., Certified Medical Practice Executive - CMPE).
- Experience in strategic planning and change management within healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with patient experience improvement methodologies and quality improvement frameworks.
