About the role
The Royal St Helena Police Service is entering a significant period of transition and rebuild. A new operating model has been developed to strengthen resilience, improve service delivery and create a sustainable platform for the future. The successful candidate will lead this change, rebuilding capability, developing local talent and helping shape the future of policing across St Helena and Ascension Island.

Requirements
- Experience as a Chief Inspector or above, or recently retired from a comparable role
- Proven track record of operational command
- Experience leading change
- Experience developing people and improving performance
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in policing, with a proven track record of success in a senior policing role. They will also have a good understanding of the unique challenges faced by the St Helena Police Service.

Benefits
The benefits package includes an International Supplement, relocation allowances, and an annual pension contribution of 7.5% of salary. Annual leave is 30 days per annum plus public holidays.
Pay
The starting salary is between £70,000 and £90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The role requires a commitment to a remote island environment. Travel to and from the island is planned rather than immediate.
