About the Role
The Director of Plant Operations (DPO) is a member of the hospital leadership team who works in collaboration with the chief executive officer (CEO) to support the overall operation of the facility, inclusive of administrative and technical operation. Serving as the hospital’s safety officer, the DPO manages the environmental services and security departments to ensure safe operating conditions in compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting agencies. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance of the facility and grounds, the provision of utilities, the restoration and renovation of the facility, and new construction.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise all administrative and technical aspects of the department.
- Develop, review, and manage the activities of self and other personnel in the department.
- Actively participate in all hospital committees which impact this department, with specific responsibility on the Safety and Infection Control Committees.
- Establish and maintain a Quality Control Program.
- Maintain Environment of Care and OSHA standards in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in provision of maintenance, environmental services, and related services in a hospital environment.
- Knowledge of JCAHO/OSHA regulations and standards.

- College degree related to building construction and maintenance.

Pay
$78,000 - $85,000 per year.
