Responsibilities
- Serve as the hospital’s safety officer and manage environmental services and security departments to ensure safe operating conditions in compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting agencies
- Oversee all aspects of facility and grounds maintenance, utilities provision, restoration, renovation, and new construction
- Plan, direct, and supervise all administrative and technical aspects of the department
- Develop, review, and manage departmental activities and personnel
- Actively participate in hospital committees, particularly the Safety and Infection Control Committees
- Establish and maintain a Quality Control Program
- Maintain Environment of Care and OSHA standards per current federal, state, and local regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance, environmental services, or related services in a hospital environment
- Knowledge of JCAHO/OSHA regulations and standards
Qualifications
College degree related to building construction and maintenance preferred.
