Responsibilities
The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for managing and organizing the operations of the facility including the following:
- Maintenance
- Housekeeping
- Grounds and Security
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government and regulatory agencies.
- Serving as the facility’s Safety Officer
- Serving on the Safety/Risk Management Committee
- Performing routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
- Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Qualifications
- Degree in facility management, equivalent in trade school degree, or related field preferred; or equivalent in related experience
- A minimum of four (4) years related experience with at least one year of management experience
- Knowledge and experience with reading blueprints and understanding Life Safety Code, NFPA standards and OSHA and Joint Commission Regulations
- Understanding of Ohm’s Law and refrigeration theory
- Valid driver’s license
