Director of Physician Recruitment

About the role

The Director of Physician and Provider Recruitment is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment across Essentia Health. Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Management, this leader will oversee two direct reports and a team of 14 FTEs.

Responsibilities

• Modernize and standardize recruitment processes
• Strengthen technology and reporting capabilities
• Improve pipeline visibility and forecasting
• Advance a more proactive, data-driven approach to physician and provider recruitment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in healthcare, provider recruitment, or talent acquisition
• At least three years of leadership experience
• Professional HR certification, such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or AAPPR, preferred

Schedule

This position offers remote flexibility with regular travel to Duluth, MN, Fargo, ND, and other key Essentia Health markets. Candidates must reside within or near Essentia Health’s service area.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $185,000 annually. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
