About the role
The Director of Philanthropy and Alum Engagement at Miss Hall's School is a strategic leader who empowers girls and women by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts. They work closely with Miss Hall's alums across generations to understand their interests and philanthropic motivations and align with the MHS mission and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Create meaningful opportunities for connection with Miss Hall's alumni
- Strengthen alum networks and inspire involvement
- Cultivate a vibrant alum community in collaboration with the Advancement Team
- Think strategically and creatively about annual and multi-year fundraising
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, inspiring and connecting them
- Work collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals
- Apply a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens to all aspects of the role
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 10 years of fundraising experience
- Demonstrated success in soliciting and closing gifts of $25,000+
- Dedicated Alum Relations experience
- Familiarity with campaign planning and execution
- Vision: ability to think strategically and creatively about annual and multi-year fundraising
- Voice: excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to inspire and connect diverse audiences
- Interpersonal efficacy: emotional intelligence and the ability to move comfortably between all constituents
- Gumption: commitment to the Miss Hall's School Mission and Core Values
- Proven success as a member of a collaborative team, with management experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and to serving a diverse, global community
- Proficiency with Advancement CRM systems and a data-informed approach to relationship management
- Highest ethical standards, integrity, and judgment, with the ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion
Benefits
Miss Hall's School is committed to diversifying its faculty and encourages applicants who are committed to bringing a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens to their work. The salary range for this position is a combination of NAIS and other competitive benchmarking systems, as well as candidate experience, ranging from $90,000 to $105,000.
