Director of Pharmacy (DOP)

Position Overview

Select Specialty Hospital - Willingboro is a 69-bed facility located in Willingboro, NJ. The hospital employs over 180 caregivers and is committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all drugs and chemicals correctly.
• Ensures compliance with standards of The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies.
• Manages and administers the Adverse Drug Reaction Program.
• Develops and participates in new employee training and education programs.
• Participates in quality assurance programs related to drug utilization and effectiveness.
• Participates in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Develops at least one (1) clinically oriented program a year, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service, Patient Counseling, Pain Management Services, or Nutritional Support Service.
• Promotes an environment of continuous quality improvement.
• Teaches and counsels patients and their families.

Requirements

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• A minimum of three (3) years of hospital experience within the last 5 years.
• BLS if required by State.
• Maintain a current license in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency is preferred.
• One (1) year in a managerial role preferred.
• Prefer Board Certification and/or Residency.

Pay

$130,000 - $160,000 based on years of experience*
