The hospital provides a range of essential acute care services for adults, including emergency care, inpatient medical services, outpatient specialty care, rehabilitation, and diagnostic services, with a focus on personalized, community-based healthcare close to home.
About the Pharmacy
The Pharmacy is open M-F 8:00am - 7:00pm, Sat and Sun 8:00am - 2:30pm.
Schedule
This position is scheduled to work 40 hours a week primarily daytime hours. The position may be required to work some extended hours which may include some evenings and weekends as business necessitates.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goals
- Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management
- Lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws
- Oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives
- Drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services
Required Qualifications
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
- Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain by time of hire
- Active Florida Consultant Pharmacy license or ability to obtain by start date
- 2+ years of pharmacy management experience or successful completion of a PGY-2 residency
- Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a pharmacist
- Hospital pharmacy management experience or successful completion of a PGY-2 residency
Pay
The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
