About the role
Llangley Federal Credit Union is a leading financial institution with over $5 billion in assets and over 400,000 members. We are expanding to new markets and are seeking a Full Time Director of the Peninsula Market.
Responsibilities
- Develops the strategic direction for sales and service to expand loan and share balances within the context of the credit union's overall strategic objectives.
- Builds an annual sales and service plan to accomplish budgeted objectives.
- Aids member-facing employees in achieving their budgeted goals.
- Recruits, trains, and retains a qualified sales and service staff.
- Works directly with member-facing employees to ensure they are competent in consultative selling.
- Serves as the primary liaison between senior management and front-line managers.
- Analyzes market areas to target specific products.
- Researches and stays informed about competitors' products, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of all credit union products and services.
- Reviews and analyzes results, forecasts, and growth trends.
- Provides recommendations to senior management for course corrections to ensure annual budgeted objectives are achieved.
- Directs the efforts of member service representatives to maximize member relationships.
- Creates an atmosphere conducive to generating engaged employees committed to the sales process, values, and internal service quality.
- Ensures all marketing materials and communications are distributed promptly.
- Works with the Marketing department and senior management to develop new products and promotions.
- Represents the credit union at trade events, community activities, and social and business events.
- Keeps abreast of regulation changes and compliance issues, particularly related to lending and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Provides input for policy and procedure changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of experience in a financial institution, sales, or service experience advising customers.
- Seven years of supervisory experience.
