Responsibilities
- Lead the review, audit, and approval of employee lifecycle transactions to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Manage the Payroll Support inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses to employee and management inquiries.
- Manage paid time off (PTO) administration and tracking.
- Develop, implement, document, and continuously improve payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational growth.
- Lead payroll tax registrations and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and international tax authorities, as required.
- Oversee and/or perform payroll account reconciliations, including: Year-end estimated pay, Payroll clearing and payroll tax accounts, General ledger accounts, as assigned, Child support and other garnishments, employee advances, and related payroll liability accounts, Other payroll earnings, deductions, and liability accounts as needed.
- Supervise, coach, and support other payroll team members involved in payroll processing, auditing, and compliance activities.
- Direct payroll reporting and analytics, providing accurate metrics and specialized data to support Finance leadership, the Controller, and senior management decision-making.
- Manage the Workers’ Compensation payroll audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation and coordination with auditors, the HR department, and insurance carriers.
- Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting and payroll experience, including experience managing payroll operations.
- Strong working knowledge of the Dayforce payroll platform is preferred, or experience with multiple payroll software platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of payroll administration, payroll tax compliance, and applicable employment regulations.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and oversee payroll processes while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000.
