Responsibilities
- Manage a team of RNs and LVNs (currently, 6) providing comprehensive in-home patient care
- Oversee company clinical services, arranging for required 24 hours/day professional access
- Manage development of employee qualifications and the assignment of employees and coordination of patient care services
- Coordinate care with other programs as needed
- Oversee, participate in, and support the company Performance Improvement Committee activities
- Establish measurable outcomes/objectives and assist in data collection for annual reporting requirements
- Perform or delegate orientation, competency testing, and in-services for new employees
- Select ongoing quarterly education for RNs and LVNs
- Follow up on patient and employee concerns as needed
- Oversee the Windward Home Health Infection Control program
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee and company operations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of and abide by all company policies and procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of home health care regulations and standards
- Support the company mission statement and philosophy to promote quality, efficient, comprehensive, compassionate, and effective patient care
- Serve as Administrator's Designee, as requested
- Work Schedule: 8:30AM - 3:00PM, Monday through Friday
Requirements
- Current California state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- CPR certified
- 3+ years clinical experience within the last 5 years, preferably in-home health agency, company, primary clinic or facility, at least 1 year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity
- Some experience working with older and/or disabled adults preferred
- Familiar with quality, clinical, and financial reports
- Written proof of health status and ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs. unassisted
- Knowledge of home health care regulations and procedures
- Effective communication skills and ability to lead a team of employees with a variety of backgrounds and educational experiences
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
- Active driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
- Moderate+ technology proficiency, including use of cell phone apps and web-based office systems, such as Google Workspace
- Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks
