About the role
We are seeking a Director of Operations to join our dynamic team at VPM. With over 1,000 units managed and expanding services including maintenance, construction, lawn care, cleaning, brokerage, and more, we are in a phase of growth and refinement. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of a growing company.
Requirements
- Lead and manage the Property Management division and its teams
- Build and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across departments
- Create structure, accountability, and workflow clarity
- Hire, train, retrain, and terminate team members as needed
- Issue performance plans and enforce company standards
- Run weekly operations meetings
- Oversee maintenance flow and vendor coordination
- Maintain work order timelines and completion quality
- Review financial reports and support budgeting for key clients
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improved systems
- Serve as the bridge between staff and ownership
- Maintain limited engagement and oversight across affiliated service divisions to ensure alignment and smooth integration with the Property Management division

- 5+ years leading teams in operations, property management, or a high-volume environment
- Proven experience building KPIs, dashboards/scorecards, and accountability rhythms (weekly meetings, quarterly planning, etc.)
- Experience overseeing maintenance and vendor coordination
- The ability to make hard decisions (performance management, enforcing standards)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage, not required
