About the role
The Director of Operations holds overall responsibility for the business functions of 4–10 assigned urgent-care centers in the Nashville, TN market. This role ensures service quality, financial performance, efficient resource use, and a superior patient experience while participating in both daily operations and management functions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient flow to optimize business-resource utilization.
- Monitor and manage center wait times and workflow.
- Identify opportunities to expand business and scope of services.
- Maintain high team-member morale and a professional, effective, and efficient working atmosphere.
- Attend administrative business-operations meetings; counsel, discipline, or recommend termination of team members as needed.
- Own performance results for patient experience, volume, financials, and service standards.
- Serve as communication liaison between the home office and all center team members.
- Understand workflow and function of every position; fill in as needed during absences or high patient volumes.
- Act as subject-matter expert for training and systems (UltiPro, DocuTAP, Healthstream, front-desk processes, Occupational Health).
- Implement home-office policies and procedures; follow all operational guidelines.
- Lead OccHealth sales and grassroots marketing with support from home-office service-line leaders.
- Oversee all team members assigned within the area.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of healthcare management experience; urgent or primary-care experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of workflow and scheduling.
- Ability to maintain a highly structured environment.
