About the role
The Director of Operations, Food and Beverage at Starwood Hotels is a leadership position designed for a passionate individual with extensive experience in food and beverage operations. This role requires a deep understanding of culinary excellence and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Food and Beverage department, ensuring all services meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of food and beverage offerings, focusing on sustainability and innovation.
- Manage a high-volume Food and Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue, leading a team of chefs, servers, and other staff.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events and special occasions.
- Lead the opening of new restaurants or hotels, providing strategic guidance and support to the management team.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
- Engage and motivate the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Anticipate and address challenges proactively, implementing effective solutions to maintain high standards of service.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive Food and Beverage work experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale environment.
- A minimum of 4 years of managing a high-volume Food and Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue.
- Prior experience opening a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
- An expert in food and beverage operations, with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work in a 24-hour operation environment.
