Director of Operations
Our client is a physician-founded regenerative medicine and longevity healthcare company built around a flagship clinical practice with a fast-growing footprint in telehealth and provider network expansion. Known for premium, high-touch patient care and clinical innovation, the organization has built its reputation almost entirely through outcomes and word of mouth, supported by a hands-on founder and a close-knit clinical team.
About the role
As the business shifts from a founder-led model to a structured, systems-driven operation with national ambitions, they are seeking a Director of Operations to build the operating foundation for the next phase of growth. This is a high-impact operational leadership role responsible for transitioning a founder-dependent healthcare practice into a scalable, systems-driven organization. The role blends hands-on operational execution with strategic planning, offering the opportunity to build SOPs, KPI systems, and a scalable multi-state operating model largely from the ground up. It is an opportunity for a seasoned operator to make a measurable impact on both patient experience and business growth within a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assume day-to-day operational leadership of the flagship clinic, reducing founder involvement in routine decisions through clear delegation, accountability, and reporting systems
- Establish a structured weekly executive reporting cadence to keep the CEO informed on business performance without requiring daily involvement
- Audit, build, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all core clinic functions
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement measurable improvements in efficiency, communication, and execution
- Build and maintain an operational dashboard tracking clinic performance, patient flow, telehealth activity, provider productivity, and key business priorities
- Launch and scale a national telehealth subscription program on existing multi-state telemedicine infrastructure
- Build the operational framework supporting a management services organization (MSO) model, including onboarding physician partners and licensed centers
- Recruit, structure, and manage a national network of contracted providers, including nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, across target states
- Serve as the operational lead for a proprietary technology platform, coordinating external development partners and finalizing workflow requirements
- Oversee and manage all vendor and contractor relationships, including technology, development, and marketing partners
- Define and track key performance indicators including patient conversion, retention, and provider productivity
- Directly manage clinic staff and the operations lead for an affiliated product distribution business
- Set a tone of professionalism and accountability, addressing performance issues directly while maintaining a positive, drama-free culture
- Translate founder vision into a phased, executable operating strategy, prioritizing the initiatives that drive the greatest impact in the next 24 months
Requirements
- Significant progressive operations leadership experience in a multi-location, high-touch, brick-and-mortar healthcare or health-adjacent business
- Proven experience building and documenting SOPs, operational dashboards, and KPI reporting systems from the ground up
- Direct experience operating within a licensing, franchise-adjacent, or contracted-provider growth model
- Genuine clinical operations exposure, having worked inside an actual clinical setting rather than solely from a health tech or corporate vantage point
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor and contractor relationships across technology, marketing, and development functions
- Strong track record of taking founder or executive vision and translating it into a phased, prioritized operating plan
- Experience managing and developing operational staff, including handling performance issues directly and constructively
- Willingness and ability to work on-site; this is not a remote role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in dental service organizations (DSOs), physical therapy, chiropractic, medical spa, or luxury senior living operations
- Background in organizations that scaled through education-driven or provider-training growth engines
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms and patient management technology implementation
- Experience with multi-state provider network development and independent contractor structuring
- Exposure to luxury hospitality or high-touch client service environments
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and low tolerance for inconsistency in execution
