The Director of Operational Transformation East

Location: Wilson, NC and / or Raleigh, NC

• Impact in This Role:
• Drive operational excellence and execution across the GR NAM East cluster.
• Influence senior leaders across a regional platform, focusing on stabilization of glass recycling operations, performance tracking, and targeted improvements.
• Measure, control, and continuously improve performance across key sites through the definition, implementation, and standardization of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure performance is visible, actionable, and consistently improving, and hold functional leaders accountable for delivering performance against agreed KPIs.
• Stabilize, standardize, and improve plant performance, introduce structured operating rhythms, control mechanisms, and execution discipline.
• Understand and align operational performance with commercial commitments and constraints, and provide insight to support decision-making that balances cost, service, and growth objectives.
• Identify and support opportunities for volume growth, margin improvement, and asset optimization, ensuring operational readiness to support commercial growth initiatives.
• Challenge existing practices and introduce improvement initiatives that unlock performance, and support the development of site and cluster leadership capabilities in performance management, problem-solving, and accountability.
• Reinforce a culture of urgency, ownership, and results orientation, and provide coaching and direction to Operations Directors and plant leadership teams.
• Ensure alignment with Sibelco HSE, quality, and sustainability standards through consistent performance monitoring and intervention, promoting disciplined execution and adherence to defined standards across all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level – Mining / Technology (required)
• Master of Business Administration (desired)
• Minimum of 7 years of Applicable industry experience in recycling, or waste management
• Proven track record of P/L delivery
• Experience working in a KPI driven accountability environment
• Capital planning and business case development
• Leadership Development – Oversight of other leaders
