Launch Your Leadership Career

Leverage our 6-month Director of Resident Care Services In-Training (DRCSIT) program to start your leadership journey. This immersive experience provides the skills and knowledge you need to excel as a Senior Living Director of Resident Care Services/Director of Nursing (DON). Learn directly from an experienced Belmont Village Director of Resident Care Services Preceptor at one of our vibrant assisted living and memory care communities, gradually increasing your responsibilities as you grow.

Comprehensive Rotational Training

  • Mentored by an experienced Director of Resident Care Services
  • Hands-on rotational program covering all aspects of care and clinical services
  • Scheduling and assigning daily tasks
  • Serving as a liaison between physicians, residents, and families
  • Participating in an on-call schedule to address after-hours clinical needs
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance

Structured Mentorship and Feedback

  • Monthly meetings with the Program Administrator and Executive Director Preceptor
  • Ongoing feedback and self-evaluations
  • Progress reports

Career Advancement

Upon successful completion of the 6-month training program and with final approval, you will be promoted to a Director of Resident Care Services position, based on the company's needs and your demonstrated abilities. This program is designed to develop future leaders within Belmont Village.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active current LVN, LPN or RN Nursing license in applicable state(s)
  • At least 1 year of employment experience in a nursing role
  • Prior experience in management/supervisory roles within the Assisted Living industry (or closely related fields) is highly preferred
  • Nursing experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or other Long Term Care setting preferred

Personalized Support

You’ll receive personalized support from a dedicated mentor/preceptor throughout this paid training program. While this structure provides invaluable guidance, we also emphasize the importance of self-directed learning. Participants are expected to actively drive their own learning, seek out opportunities to apply new skills, and fully leverage the resources and guidance provided during this unique training period.

Workplace Technology

  • Proficient in workplace technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, and video conferencing
  • The ability to work flexible schedules in a 24 hour operation including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays

Communication Skills

  • Effective communication in written and verbal English

Attendance and Relocation

  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
  • Participants must be open and willing to relocate following the training for their first assignment as Director of Resident Care Services to any market in which Belmont Village operates
