About the Role

As the Director of Nursing, your work is essential to providing for the daily needs and activities of Morning Pointe residents. Our most successful Directors are people who:

You will oversee care to residents through a consistent care delivery model, lead residential case management, and provide clinical oversight to Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants (MA), and other resident care staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality resident care is consistently delivered in accordance with all local, state, and federal guidelines
• Partners with the Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, new hire orientation, training, and in-services for the Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants, and LPNs
• Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy, and other medical professionals to promote quality care and independence for our residents
• Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission, and quarterly assessments
• Provides on-call support for the community
• Ensures compliance, efficiency, and the team’s understanding of policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Maintains a current/unencumbered LPN license in the state
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical and supervisory experience in long-term care, community-based care, or assisted living/memory care
• Quality assurance/improvement and staff development experience
• The ability to lift 50 lbs without restriction
