Director of Nursing (LPN)

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the nursing department.
• Maintain high standards of quality care in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Determine staffing needs and recommend staff levels.
• Schedule duty hours and conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance.
• Participate in surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Review and assess nurses' notes for accuracy and compliance.
• Interview and assess prospective residents.
• Work with physicians during rounds.
• Complete various medical forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Monitor supply levels and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Create and implement in-service training classes.
• Develop and maintain a care plan for each resident.

Requirements

• Current active State of Ohio license as an RN or LPN.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a residential care facility, assisted living, hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care setting.
• Knowledgeable in nursing and medical practices, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Ability to lead and supervise other staff members effectively.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
