Director of Nursing (DON)
Job Summary
As our Director of Nursing at Ingleside Communities, you’ll take the helm of the nursing department—guiding care delivery, inspiring your team, and ensuring we meet the highest standards in clinical outcomes and compliance. You will set clinical standards, drive performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while developing, coaching, and holding leaders accountable for exceptional outcomes. Partnering closely with executive leadership, you will influence organizational strategy, champion quality initiatives, and build a high-performing nursing team aligned with Ingleside’s mission. This role calls for a decisive, visible leader who inspires confidence, strengthens culture, and elevates care across the community.
Compensation
- $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 annual salary dependent on experience and education
- Up to $12,000 in annual bonus for meeting KPI's

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the nursing department
- Promote and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence
- Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and other departments
- Drive quality improvement and resident-centered care initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (required) or licensed in any U.S state and be eligible for Wisconsin licensure by reciprocity.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience
- Minimum of 2 years nursing leadership experience in long-term care
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams
- Must be English literate and Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- CPR certified
- Able to meet physical and job-related requirements
