Director of Nursing (DON)

About the role

Hurst Plaza Nursing & Rehabilitation seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the department.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license.
• Preferred previous experience as a Director of Nursing and working with geriatric residents.
• Must successfully complete a training and competency evaluation program.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Must pass a health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity as verified by a background check.
• Show satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire.
