Director of Nursing (DON)

About the role

We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our outstanding healthcare team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $180,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and administrative direction for our entire nursing services team.
• Oversee the leadership and guidance of the nursing team in accordance with Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of resources necessary to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments for a coordinated interdisciplinary approach.
• Coach, develop, and lead our clinical team to success.

Requirements

• Must have previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or RN Manager.
• 3-5 years of experience in a nursing supervisory role, providing direct care to multiple residents, with Long Term Care (LTC) experience being ideal.
• Graduate of an approved RN program.
• Knowledgeable in nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to long-term care.

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, experience in a Skilled Nursing Environment, familiarity with PointClickCare, advanced education in principles of management and geriatrics, or DON certification.
