Director of Nursing (DON)
About the role
Supervise all nursing staff throughout the facility.
Determine and implement nursing policies and procedures.
Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and support ongoing staff development.
Oversee nursing staff performance and conduct.
Avoid incidents and clinical issues within the facility.
Assess and oversee the healthcare needs of each resident.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license.
- Minimum of 5 years of long-term care experience.
- At least 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
