Director of Nursing

About the role

This de novo ASC will be a premier center for orthopedic surgery, led by highly sought-after surgeons from one of the region's leading orthopedic practices. We are looking for a Director of Nursing to manage the day-to-day clinical operations of this high paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center
• Oversee scheduling of procedures
• Manage staffing levels
• Manage physician preferences
• Supervise materials management
• Maintain the right culture and pace of the Center in the ORS, Pre-Op & PACU
• Oversee inventory control
• Oversee QA/QI
• Oversee staff credentialing
• Oversee preventative maintenance and safety
• Oversee risk management
• Oversee all related supporting services of the ambulatory surgical center and its personnel
• Work closely with the Administrator, Medical Director and MAC
• Actively participate in patient care

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current and valid Texas Registered Nurse License required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Leadership role
• Orthopedic experience required
• Experience working in an ASC as an RN is required
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications required

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic surgery highly preferred
