About The Role
As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the nursing team, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional care and support.
- Developing and implementing care plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborating with other department heads to ensure seamless delivery of services and excellent resident outcomes.
- Evaluating and improving the quality of care, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes as needed.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a culture of compassion and respect.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Recruit, train, and mentor new nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Monitor and report on resident care outcomes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers, ensuring smooth transitions and coordination of care.
- Participate in compliance and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our organization meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
