Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is an administrative leadership position responsible for oversight of the Colleges Nursing programs, including accreditation, curriculum, compliance, faculty support, clinical partnerships, and student success.
Essential Duties or Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and operational direction for Nursing programs and pathways.
- Hire, supervise, support, and evaluate Nursing faculty and staff.
- Participate in institutional planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the College in professional and community organizations.
- Develop, manage, and oversee Nursing program budgets, resources, and operational planning.

- Ensure compliance with ACEN, IDFPR, IDPH, ICCB, and related agencies.
- Serve as the official liaison for accreditation, regulatory reporting, program approval, and compliance-related activities associated with Nursing programs.
- Promote student success, retention, graduation, and NCLEX/licensure achievement.
- Maintain relationships with healthcare agencies and community partners.
