About the role
The Director of Nursing at Katy Endoscopy Center oversees the clinical departments, manages staff, and ensures compliance with clinical practice standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all areas of nursing care
- Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with the Administrator
- Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying the team of scheduling changes
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided
- Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
- Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Minimum (5) years direct RN experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center surgical setting
- Minimum (3) years clinical supervisory experience
- Experience in OR or PACU preferred
- Active RN license as required by state of employment
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment
- Acceptable ACLS and PALS certifications as required by facility
- CNOR preferred
Qualifications
