Director of Nursing

Folkston Park Care & Rehab, located at 36261 Okefenokee Dr., Folkston, GA, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Director of Nursing to lead our 84-bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction of clinical services, ensuring quality, adequacy of services, and staff supervision.
• Establish, implement, and evaluate resident goals that promote health and well-being using high standards of care.
• Coordinate care between departments and ensure resident needs are identified, assessed, and addressed through the Plan of Care.
• Ensure quality care consistent with company and regulatory standards.
• Assume daily operations responsibilities in the Administrator’s absence, if designated.
• Ensure nursing staff delivers quality resident/patient care meeting or exceeding company and regulatory standards.
• Monitor monthly nursing service performance against the budget and intervene as needed.
• Schedule and conduct resident/patient rounds to evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
• Maintain administrative authority for proper charting, documentation of care, medications, and treatments.
• Recruit, hire, orient, train, and retain qualified staff to carry out nursing programs and services.
• Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and conduct timely performance appraisals.
• Develop and implement a written staffing plan and nursing schedule aligned with resident needs and budgetary guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely records and submissions as required.
• Evaluate current and potential residents to ensure the facility can provide appropriate levels of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the facility Medical Director to align programs and care services with resident needs.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Manage clinical aspects of state or federal government survey processes.
• Follow established company policies and procedures, maintaining proper documentation in facility software systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Georgia RN license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of Director of Nursing experience.
• Must meet all local health regulations, including criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
