About the role
A premier substance abuse treatment organization is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide clinical oversight across their residential and outpatient facilities. This is a highly flexible, non-clinical leadership role with autonomy over scheduling and site coverage, offering a great step up for a nursing leader ready to move into a broader oversight position.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical oversight to nursing staff across residential and outpatient programs
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with OASAS, OMH, CARF, and organizational standards
- Partner with executive leadership on nursing operations, policies, staffing, onboarding, and regulatory readiness
- Monitor documentation, operational metrics, and nursing practices to promote evidence-based care
- Support nursing coverage, scheduling, and staff development across multiple locations in Queens and Long Island
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- Five or more years of nursing leadership or management experience
- Substance use, chemical dependency, or behavioral health experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems
Pay
$150,000 - $165,000 annually
