Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise hospice nurses, CNAs, and clinical staff.
- Oversee patient care, admissions, recertifications, discharges, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare hospice regulations, agency policies, and survey requirements.
- Participate in IDG/IDT meetings and help coordinate patient care plans.
- Support QAPI, chart audits, infection control, emergency preparedness, and ongoing staff education.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, case management, and clinical problem-solving.
- Communicate with physicians, families, facilities, referral sources, and the hospice team.
- Help build systems so nothing is missed clinically, operationally, or compliance-wise.
- Mentor nurses and hold the team accountable in a positive, professional way.
Qualifications
- Current Arizona RN license required.
- Hospice experience strongly preferred.
- Prior DON, clinical manager, case manager, or hospice leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospice eligibility, documentation, IDG, recertification, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to start quickly.
- Comfortable working in a growing company where leadership needs to be hands-on.
- Must be compassionate with patients but also firm and organized with staff expectations.
