About the Role
We are currently accepting applications for a Director of Nursing within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Nursing Team
- Manage all Aspects of the Nursing Department
- Works With the Administrator and Department Heads
- Nursing Care Functions
- Understand Residents' Rights
- Ability to communicate with residents and personnel and ability to remain calm under stress.
- Understand Care Plan and Assessment
- Planning and Implementing Developmental Plans
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in a supervisory capacity
- Long-Term Care / Nursing Home Experience highly preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
