Director of Nursing
About the role
Covenant Living, the nation's sixth-largest nonprofit senior living provider, is seeking a Director of Nursing to join our team. This position is accountable for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the Nursing Department to ensure resident care aligns with Covenant Living's philosophy and policies, state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, direct, implement, oversee, and delegate nursing department functions.
- Develop, direct, implement, oversee, define, and delegate resident care.
- Develop, direct, implement, oversee, define, and delegate survey management.
- Recruit, hire, and manage the nursing staff.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the nursing services operating plan/budget.
- Cook up and establish relationships with other departments, interdisciplinary teams, outside consultants, outside partners, and third-party reimbursement staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Consult with the Medical Director on a regular basis, minimum of monthly.
- Monitor the purchasing function and ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
- Represent the campus in professional and community activities.
Requirements
- A graduate of an approved school of nursing (Bachelor of Science degree in nursing preferred).
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State.
- A minimum of 4 years of success in a leadership role, in an acute, sub-acute, or longer-term care setting.
- Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing and the ability to supervise and motivate employees.
- Skill in assessing problems, planning, and evaluating solutions in relationship to management of staff and resident needs.

- Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $108,301.00 - $157,396.00 per year. The actual offered rate of pay may vary based on job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
