About the role
This individual directs the licensed and non-licensed staff who provide health care and nursing services to residents of the facility. The Director of Nursing’s primary responsibility is to ensure the provision of quality nursing care on a 24-hour basis to the residents of the care center in accordance with Federal, State and Local standards and regulations.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures to maintain a high quality of care amongst residents.
- Determines staffing levels and monitors for adequate provision of nursing care.
- Oversees administrative functions in Nursing Department.
- Develops educational programs within the nursing department to promote staff development.
- Maintains an effective quality assurance program.
- Abide by State/Federal rules and regulations.

- Experience with leading a group of individuals.
