About the Role
The Director of Nursing/Health and Wellness Director manages the day-to-day healthcare operations to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. They ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity while maintaining quality care as healthcare needs evolve. Responsibilities include being on call, completing resident assessments, interviewing new hires, managing clinical staff, and partnering with the sales team and Executive Director.
Brookdale supports nurse leaders through a structured six-week orientation, online resources, local nurse mentors, and ongoing collaborative support. Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day clinical services to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met.
- Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity while maintaining quality care as needs change.
- Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to licensed nurses and direct care staff.
- May lead a clinical leadership team of up to five members.
- Builds relationships with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers for personalized care coordination.
- Collaborates with community leadership to enhance resident and family satisfaction.
Requirements
- Education and state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) as required by state regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; clinical leadership experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay
Base pay is determined by skills and experience. Full-time associates are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses.
