About the role
The Director of Nursing at Wildflower Court, Bartlett Regional Hospital, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care and all staff activities including direct patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maximizes resource utilization and achieves organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes.
- Ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- In programs with coordinators in place, supports those leaders in addressing personnel, patient, and operational issues that escalate.
- Manages patient care operations.
- Directs and coaches’ staff in personnel and patient care processes.
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from accredited Nursing Program with a bachelor’s degree.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Nursing.
- SUBSTITUTION: May substitute two years’ experience if candidate has an associate degree in nursing.
- Experience(s): Five (5) years of current long-term care nursing experience.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Licenses: Current State of Alaska Registered Nursing License.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
