About the role

Charlwell Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Nurses to join our team. The Director of Nurses (DON) will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines and clinical standards of care that govern the facility. The DON will work under the direction of the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department
• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines and clinical standards of care
• Maintain the highest degree of quality care at all times
• Communicate clearly with staff and family members
• Respond calmly and professionally in challenging environments or situations

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with an active, unencumbered current license
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility
• Exceptional command of local, state, and federal regulations
• Unwavering professionalism
• Effective computer skills
• Extraordinary interpersonal and leadership skills
• Point Click Care (PCC) experience
• BSN preferred
