About the role
The Director of Nursing at Arkview Behavioral Health plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth medical operation of both inpatient and outpatient services. This is not a sit-behind-the-desk leadership position—we're looking for someone who's ready to roll up their sleeves, step in where needed, and lead by example.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to nursing staff across all levels of care.
- Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate nursing team members.
- Ensure compliance with DDAP and The Joint Commission standards.
- Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee medication management, infection control, and clinical documentation.
- Maintain quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to promote a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Active nursing license in PA.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a substance use treatment setting.
- Strong knowledge of DDAP and Joint Commission compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to recruit, lead, and manage a nursing team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, client-centered care.
