Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital—now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management—is a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods. About the Role

Responsible for the overall operations of the assigned nursing unit and ensures the delivery of efficient, high-quality patient care and services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Works with employees and other managers/supervisors to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information, and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives. This is a full-time position based in our San Francisco facility.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Nursing staff including but not limited to RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, Nursing Supervisors/Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Telemetry Monitor Technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Five (5) years experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning, and staff development
• Ability to manage the practice of nursing within the mission of the hospital
• Demonstrated ability to participate in recruitment and hire of qualified staff
• Ability to project a professional image
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital.
