About the role

The Director of Nurses at Park Manor of Cypress Station is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the nursing department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and regulatory compliance to maintain and enhance clinical standards within the facility.

The Director of Nurses will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies that promote patient safety and improve health outcomes. Additionally, this position requires continuous evaluation of nursing practices and staff performance to foster professional development and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing staff to maintain a high standard of patient care and professional conduct.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with medical directors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and patient-centered care plans.
• Oversee staffing schedules, recruitment, and training programs to ensure adequate coverage and continuous professional development.
• Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to support nursing operations and departmental goals.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, patients, and families to address concerns and improve service delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and enhance nursing practices.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Texas, Skilled Nursing Facility & DON experience, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. A Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, and demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care standards, and quality improvement processes.
