Director of Neurotechnology Innovation Center at Rutgers Brain Health Institute

About the role

We seek an accomplished scientist or physician-scientist to join Rutgers Health (https://rutgershealth.org/) and Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI; https://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/) as Director of the new Neurotechnology Innovation Center (NTICe) within BHI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance the NTICe mission to develop novel technology to fill treatment gaps while also pursuing his/her own research.
• Develop various mechanisms to drive new interdisciplinary collaborations across departments, schools, and institutions.

Requirements

• A strong record of scholarly activity and external funding including active awards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to organize and coordinate collaborations among researchers and clinicians and/or industry from multidisciplinary scientific and medical backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A leader in Translational Neuroscience, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Biomedical Engineering with a broad interdisciplinary interest in neurotechnology.

• Experience in translational research.
