Director of Music Ministries

About the role

The Director of Music Ministries will oversee all musical aspects of worship and ministry at the college. This includes leading worship services, developing and implementing music programs, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall campus experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead worship services and coordinate with other musicians and staff members to ensure a cohesive musical experience.
• Develop and implement new music programs and initiatives that support the mission and vision of the college.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate music into various campus events and activities.
• Manage the college’s music library and resources, ensuring they are accessible and utilized effectively.
• Work closely with the chaplaincy team to develop and lead music ministries for students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

• A degree in music or related field.
• Proven experience in leading worship services and music programs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with music technology and software.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for music and its role in ministry.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Proficiency in music theory and composition.
• Experience with music production and recording.
• Knowledge of contemporary worship styles and trends.
• Ability to teach music to a variety of skill levels.
