About the role
The Director of Marketing provides strategic leadership for campus marketing, communications, and brand initiatives that support enrollment growth, student engagement, and institutional visibility. This position develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies that advance recruitment, retention, and community awareness of Ivy Tech Community College – Marion. The Director oversees marketing campaigns across digital, social media, web, and print platforms while ensuring consistent brand standards and alignment with institutional priorities. This role collaborates closely with campus leadership, academic schools, and the statewide marketing team to support program promotion, workforce initiatives, and strategic communications.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and implement data-driven comprehensive marketing strategies that support enrollment growth, retention, and campus visibility.
- Lead campus marketing initiatives aligned with institutional priorities and statewide marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with campus leadership to identify marketing priorities and strategic opportunities.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across campus marketing and communication channels.
- Support marketing initiatives that promote academic programs, workforce partnerships, and community engagement.
- Campaign Development & Execution
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns including digital advertising, social media, print materials, and promotional initiatives.
- Oversee the development of marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, event materials, and promotional campaigns.
- Manage social media strategy and content creation to enhance campus engagement and brand awareness.
- Support recruitment marketing initiatives that attract prospective students and promote Ivy Tech programs.
- Coordinate marketing support for campus events, initiatives, and student engagement activities.
- Digital Strategy & Content Management
- Oversee the campus website and ensure content accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with branding standards.
- Lead digital marketing efforts including paid advertising, search optimization, and analytics tracking.
- Direct content creation including photography, video storytelling, student features, digital signage, and program highlights.
- Monitor digital engagement metrics and adjust strategies to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Conduct data analysis of marketing campaigns to assess effectiveness and guide future recommendations with campus leadership.
- Collaborate with academic departments and campus offices to support marketing and communication needs.
- Partner with statewide marketing teams to ensure alignment with Ivy Tech brand standards and institutional campaigns.
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison for campus departments seeking promotional support.
- Budget Management & Performance Analytics
- Manage the campus marketing budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources to maximize campaign effectiveness.
- Track advertising performance and return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives.
- Utilize marketing analytics and data insights to guide strategy and improve outcomes.
- Monitor vendor relationships and external marketing partnerships.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and social media management.

Pay
Salary Range: $52,000-$58,000
