Director of Managed Care
Overview
The Director of Managed Care oversees strategic planning, evaluation, coordination, and implementation of various managed health care programs (HMOs, PPOs, POS, etc.). They manage contractual relationships with managed care organizations and other third party payors regarding rate structures for services, clinical and financial reporting obligations, and ensure compliance with all managed care organization requirements.
Success Profile
The ideal candidate should reside in the Nashville or Franklin area. They must have 6-8 years' direct experience in contract negotiation and operational experience in a multiple-site outpatient facility setting, including profit and loss responsibility. A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Management is required, with an advanced degree desirable. They should demonstrate strong managerial skills, including the ability to manage databases and provide analysis, and possess proficient computer skills and excellent communication abilities.
