Director of Major Gifts

About the role

The Director of Major Gifts will lead Rockville, MD-based JSSA’s major donor fundraising efforts, focusing on cultivating philanthropic relationships and securing significant gifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies
• Cultivate new philanthropic relationships
• Partner with senior leadership to secure transformational gifts

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of nonprofit fundraising and major gifts experience
• Proven success securing six- and seven-figure gifts
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience managing donor portfolios and developing fundraising strategies
• Bachelor's degree required
