Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance oversight and support for Shalom Gardens Senior Living and Parkside Senior Living
- Maintain the buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems in a safe and operational condition
- Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and routine repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and team members
- Oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of the buildings and grounds
- Identify potential safety concerns and ensure timely corrective action
- Maintain appropriate maintenance records, logs, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Cover coordination and oversight of outside vendors and contractors when necessary
- Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Aid with budgeting and controlling maintenance-related expenses
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, fire, building, and regulatory requirements
- Support emergency preparedness and respond to urgent maintenance needs as necessary
- Maintain resident apartments and common areas to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment
- Partner closely with community leadership to prioritize maintenance needs
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional resident service
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years of supervisory maintenance experience in a commercial, healthcare, senior living, or similar environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems
- Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or long-term care is a plus
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities across two senior living communities
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to urgent maintenance situations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between communities required
